Foundation is a content management system designed to handle data as an intentional business outcome rather than a random byproduct. Web data provides actionable insight which can and should be leveraged to improve products, services, and user experience. While Foundation utilizes data to add value, it does so without sacrificing user privacy. Any potentially identifying information is handled and stored as a hash to ensure individual attribution is impossible.

The platform is built with the belief that less software is better than more machine. To accomplish this, footprint is prioritized over mass appeal and universal points of friction over use case specific features. It is intended to be lightweight and extensible — not a one size fits all solution. As its name suggests, Foundation should be thought of as a base to build upon.
